Finnish Broadcasting Company and Television Channel YLE TV1 collaborated regularly.
My Role
My job was to create and coordinate the launches from scripting and concept designing to airing in national television channels, in collaboration with BBC, in-house teams and outside partners.
The Approach
My aim was to create a consistent Tone of Voice (ToV) to match both BBC and Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE) brand identity.
The work
Concept designing, scriptwriting, coordinating and collaborating with the teams, selecting the material, time-coding it, importing the relevant stuff, editing it into film, importing to the airing systems.
What I learned
I learned how national audiovisual company and the ecosystem of media houses collaborating with it works. I learned how high quality audiovisual work and journalism are produced.
Confession
For the whole first year working in YLE, I had a constant nightmare where I accidentally pressed a button in the broadcasting table and interrupted a national broadcasting.
